FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Huntington Beach, California - January 6, 2011 - ProVUE Development announces the release of Panorama Sheets, an exciting new application that combines the full power of a database with the familiar simplicity of a spreadsheet for only $39.95. All database operations are RAM based for incredible speed, and all data entry, searching, sorting, data analysis and data manipulation is handled using a straightforward spreadsheet like interface. Data can be easily imported or exported to/from text files and spreadsheets, and can be printed in tabular format or using standard Avery mailing label templates. Our unique Total Recall technology protects data through just about anything, including power outages and system crashes.

Key features of Panorama Sheets include:

• Lightning Fast RAM Based Speed
• Flexible Searching & Sorting
• Interactive Data Analysis
• Powerful Data Reshaping Tools
• Custom Mailing Labels
• Relational
• Data entry auto-complete, auto caps, & more
• Smart dates
• Select Duplicates
• Import/Export to/from spreadsheets, text files and clipboard
• Roll back unwanted changes
• Crash Proof

When setting up a search, analysis or data manipulation, Panorama Sheets instantly previews the results as each key is pressed (similar to Spotlight). The live preview updates in real time, so users can immediately see how different options interact with actual data BEFORE they actually perform an action.

Panorama Sheets search options are extremely flexible. It can instantly search all fields in a database or any combination of specific fields. Text fields can be searched for complete or partial matches, or even searched phonetically (for example Name soundslike Guiterrez). Numbers and dates can be searched using a variety of comparisons (equal to, greater than, less than, within 10%, before, after, by month, by year, etc.). Multiple searches can be combined for very specific results, and for advanced searching boolean formulas can be included (for example Debit > Credit * 2.5). Complex searches can be saved as a favorites for later re-use, and of course for any search option. Panorama Sheets also includes a quick search option ... simply right clicking on any data cell pops up a menu with options for quickly showing data similar to the current cell, for example same name, same amount, same month, etc.

A key Panorama Sheets feature is the ability to rapidly bend, reshape or refactor huge data sets. Fields can be added, removed, rearranged, hidden, merged or split at any time. Entire datasets can be rapidly altered based on parsing/manipulation rules set up from pop-up menus (advanced users can also use arbitrary formula expressions). Typical examples include swapping first and last names, extracting area codes, removing extraneous punctuation, shifting all or part of a field to upper or lower case, or splitting combined addresses into separate city, state and zip fields. Multiple parsing/manipulation rules can be chained together for complex transformations, and sets of parsing/manipulation rules can be saved for later re-use.

Panorama Sheets can instantly convert raw data into an interactive multi-level summary outline, including subtotals, averages or other calculations. The summary outline is interactive, so it can be collapsed to show overall trends or selectively expanded to reveal specific details at lower levels. Unlike printed summary reports, the interactive outline can be refined by sorting or selection, make it easy to answer questions like “who were the top five sales associates in each region last quarter?” or “which sectors are growing the fastest internationally?”.

Support for standard Avery mailing labels is included (Avery 5160, 5161, 5162, 5163 and 5164). If a database contains standard address fields, Panorama Sheets automatically configures the field positions on the label. If data is missing, label fields automatically slide up and to the left to eliminate blank areas. Field positions can also be configured manually, and favorite configurations can be saved for re-use.

Data can be entered directly into Panorama Sheets, or can be imported from spreadsheets (Excel/Numbers) or from text files (CSV or tab separated). Supported data export formats include text files (CSV or tab separated) and HTML. Data can be automatically restructured as it is imported or exported to match up with external programs (for example re-arranging, merging or splitting fields as the data is imported or exported). Manual data entry is enhanced by numerous assistants including auto-complete, auto-capitalization, input and output patterns, duplicate checking, default values and automatic relational links between multiple databases. Panorama's unique “smart date” feature allows human friendly input like “today”, “friday” or “next tuesday”.

Panorama Sheets includes crash recovery that protects users vital data from power failures and system crashes. When relaunched after a crash, Panorama brings all data, windows and settings right back to the way they were, so work can continue without interruption.

Panorama Sheets is the latest member of the Panorama family of RAM based database products, which also includes Panorama, Panorama Direct, and Panorama Enterprise Server. All Panorama family products use the same database format, so users can seamlessly upgrade from Panorama Sheets to Panorama if their needs grow. It’s also easy to share databases between colleagues that use different versions of the Panorama family. Since 1988, users all over the world have been using Panorama for a wide variety of applications — everything from custom accounting and office management, medical research, project management, event organizing, even managing thousands of visual effects in blockbuster Hollywood productions. Panorama scales from affordable single user versions for individuals to large mutli-user/web applications.
