Once transactions have been transferred to the merchant gateway, they are out of your hands, and out of Panorama’s hands. Panorama can’t track them beyond that, but Authorize.Net does provide tools that allow you to track your transactions farther. (Note: All of the instructions below were correct as of January 2009. Authorize.Net could change their web site operation at any time — please consult the help available on their site if these instructions do not match the web site.)
Email
One way to track your transactions is via e-mail. Here’s how to set that up:
1. Log into your Merchant Interface at https://account.authorize.net.
2. Click on the User Profile link.
3. Click the Edit Profile Information button.
4. Make sure your e-mail address is entered.
5. Select which Transaction Emails you want to receive (probably Transaction Receipt and Credit Card Settlement Report).
Once this is set up, you’ll automatically receive an e-mail whenever a transaction is processed, as well as a summary e-mail once per day.
Web
You can also track transactions on the Authorize.Net web site. To view today’s unsettled transactions, follow these steps.
1. Log into your Merchant Interface at https://account.authorize.net.
2. Click on the Search link
3. Using the pop-up menu in the Settlement Date section, choose Unsettled Transactions.
4. Press the Search button.
5. Today’s transactions will be displayed.
To view transactions from earlier days, follow these steps:
1. Log into your Merchant Interface at https://account.authorize.net.
2. Click on the Search link
3. Using the pop-up menus in the Settlement Date section, choose the date (or dates) you want to see.
4. Press the Search button.
5. The transactions you requested will be displayed.
You can also perform other searches, for example searching for a particular credit card, a customer name, etc.
Here is another way to view transactions from earlier days.
