I've discovered a cure for issue: I simply add the command
"ShowRecordCounter" to the procedure thus:

IF info("Selected") >1
  ShowRecordCounter
  SetWindowRectangle info("ScreenRectangle"),"nopalette nodragbar"
  OpenForm "SelectedRecords"
ENDIF
