DEFAULT

The getwebcolor statement will calculate an RGB color from a Netscape style web color.

Parameters

This statement has three parameters:

rgb – Output color in RGB format

webcolor – HTML color, either #RRGGBB or named color (“red”, “blue”, etc., see source code for complete list.).

default – default rgb color if the statement can’t understand the webcolor. This parameter is optional, if it is omitted, black will be used as the default color.

Description

This statement will calculate an RGB color from a Netscape style web color. This example will set myColor to pea green.

getwebcolor myColor,"#99CC66"

This example sets myColor to mediumspringgreen.

getwebcolor myColor,"mediumspringgreen","0000FF"

This example allows the user to type in a color name. If they choose a color that doesn’t exist, the color will default to blue (0000FF).

local myColor,userPickedColor
userPickedColor = "blue"
gettext "Color:",userPickedColor
getwebcolor myColor,userPickedColor,"00FF9C"

Here is a list of colornames allowed in the webcolor parameter, along with their HTML RGB values.
